Yeah, I can back up what others have said here. Got a spam call linked to a freshly registered domain. Just so you know, it aint your domain registrar selling your info. Domain details are openly available to anyone which is why these firms have easy access to call lists. If you’re bothered about it, plenty of registrars offer privacy protection as something extra you can buy :)

Suspicious bloke claiming to be a web designer from India. I reckon they grabbed my info from a domain registration or something. Folks reckon these calls come from 123reg or other registrars but I’m certain that’s not true. Domain info is public, so maybe they watch for fresh sign-ups and then check out the details. The thing is, "who is" info is public, so scammers easily grab your details from there. Best thing to do is just block the number on your phone so they cant bother you again. Turns out, it’s because I registered a domain with GoDaddy, and if you use your real info, it ends up on the public Whois database.
