Got one of those dodgy calls supposedly from HMRC, left a voicemail about some fake tax fraud case and said there’s an arrest warrant out for me. Completely bogus scam!

Just got one of those HMRC automated calls, saying I have to pay up or face some serious trouble. Total scam, don’t be fooled into handing over money on the phone!

This call was just awful. Anyone who’s vulnerable would be terrified being threatened with arrest for tax fraud just because they didn’t press a button. Really hope the police are checking out these sites and working to catch the people behind these dodgy numbers. Proper shameful behaviour!

My brother, who struggles with mental health, unfortunately got scammed out of £1000. He freaked out and they came after him again, trying to get him to buy £800 more in vouchers. Luckily, a lady working in Tesco spotted him and realised what was going on. She stepped in, called the police, and they then contacted him directly on his phone.

I called the number back and they already had my name, postcode and address which was quite alarming. I was on my work phone though and the call suddenly dropped. I’ve reported it to HMRC because the person claimed they had a warrant and mentioned HMRC. The bloke on the line sounded quite foreign and didn’t give much info apart from saying HMRC. Definitely don’t trust them - HMRC would always send you a letter first for sure. It was quite scary honestly.

Like others have mentioned, this is definitely a scam aimed at stealing your cash. HMRC always contacts you by post, never by phone. Best thing to do is just block the number; they’ll stop bothering you sooner or later.

This week alone, I got that exact same recorded message three times. I usually just listen to what they have to say and then hang up straightaway. I reckon if you're elderly or maybe a kid, it might come off as quite scary. The woman’s tone sounds pretty intimidating, to be honest.

Got a recorded message from this number about HMRC telling me to ring them back. Doesn't sound right at all. I’m definitely going to report it to both Action Fraud and HMRC. It’s gotta be a scam, so best to just block and ignore. Real HMRC stuff comes through the post, not calls like this.

Got a call saying HMRC have an arrest warrant out for me over some unpaid taxes, total scam! Lucky I recently got a refund from the genuine HMRC, so I knew straight away this was dodgy.

I got a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was involved in tax evasion and warning about an arrest warrant. I flagged it straight away to HMRC and also logged it with Action Fraud through the police. They told me it’s a common scam and to just hang up and ignore it. Funny enough, a couple of months back, my landline got a very similar call, though from another number, but with almost the same threat. I reported that one too. Seriously, don’t ring these numbers back or hand over any details. It’s all fake.

Got a call from these guys, left me a voicemail about some tax dodging issue. I was proper worried for a bit, but then it hit me - they’d send a letter before anything official. I’m sure loads of people will fall for this though, it’s well dodgy.

Some bloke named Alex Watson rang me up saying I was about to get arrested and locked up for 3 days. I told him I was away on holiday and he started going on about being extradited or something. He threw loads of random codes at me and kept me on the line, saying it was all being recorded. Said if I didn't pay right then and there, I'd get hauled to court... proper dodgy!

I had a call like that too. They left a voicemail saying my mail had been sent back and mentioned something about avoiding taxes that was urgent, and they even threatened arrest. How am I supposed to be dodging taxes when I’m on permanent disability? It makes no sense at all.

Just got a voicemail claiming I've got a warrant out for tax evasion. So, obviously, I rang up HMRC straight away to check, and they told me it’s a scam and no warrant exists. Felt pretty relieved but annoying how these fraudsters work.

It's a right disgrace, this sort of trickery! A robotic voice yapping away, but if I ever got the chance to chat with a real person, I’d be inclined to give them a proper piece of my mind. They can take their nonsense and shove it where the sun doesn't shine!

Watch out for this scam! My dad got tricked without realising what was happening and handed over £1000 to these crooks. Since then, he’s been really down and struggling a lot. It’s heartbreaking how these nasty people take advantage of those who are most at risk.

02071933154 has been ringing me nonstop this week. Every time they ask for my details, I say they need to give me their info first so I can be sure they’re legit and not some scam. They just get cheeky or cut the call straight away.

Got a message on my voicemail claiming it was HMRC saying there's an arrest warrant for me because I supposedly didn’t send some paperwork back to the tax office. Obviously, this has to be a scam since HMRC wouldn't call and threaten you like that. I've already reported the call to Action Fraud as a scam. Definitely avoid picking up or calling back the number 02071933154.

Today, my aunt who is 84 and has dementia got a call from this number 02071933154. They told her she'd be arrested if she didn’t make a payment. We’ve already told the police about it and they’re looking into the matter now.

I've received a couple of calls today from this number, and each time it was a pre-recorded message. It mentioned something about my tax situation being sorted, claiming that documents sent from my address were not signed. They threatened that a warrant for my arrest could be issued and urged me to ring them back. Honestly, with all the scams floating about, I’m really hesitant to give them a call.
