I received a call that I let slip by. After being bombarded with endless pesky calls, I made the conscious choice to disregard them. Regrettably, this meant I overlooked some crucial communications, including those from my doctor and nearby hospitals. In the end, I opted to change my phone number. This didn't quite solve everything, though, as I missed out on a few digital notifications from medical facilities that still had my old contact details. It's maddening how scammers seem utterly indifferent to the distress they cause to others.

got a call from this number claiming to be from the citizens advice bureau, said they could cut my debts by 70%. I told the bloke, who had an asian accent, that i don't owe anything. he just kept talking over me, going on about helping to stop bailiffs coming to my house. I told him to let them come if they want, coz i don’t owe a penny. he just hung up on me. now this number's on my ever-growing block list. no surprise people get annoyed and wound up with these constant scam calls.

I just received a phone call from a woman representing a Government department offering financial advice. She had quite a noticeable Indian or Pakistani accent and seemed pleasant enough. However, I politely declined her offer and ended the call rather swiftly, as it struck me as rather dodgy. This all happened around ten minutes ago.

Caution advised when dialling this number; they’re masterful conversationalists!

It pertains to a so-called debt counselling service, which I suspect effectively acquires your debt by covering it up front. Then, you end up repaying them over an extended timeframe, but at a steeper rate?

I’ve even heard talk of deposits, which could entail your house, vehicle, or even a winged golden pig being collateral for your debt. Miss a payment, and you risk losing your home, your car, or just a feather from that pig!
Yet instead of debt "persistently multiplying," the PIG would merely take to spiralling downwards in tight circles! ;-)

I received an unsolicited call, leading me to suspect this could potentially be a phishing ruse to set up payment arrangements.
