Got a call today, 23-May-25, and it seemed really dodgy. I'd say best to just ignore it.

I don’t normally pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers but I did this time. A woman asked for Martin, so I told her she had the wrong number. She mumbled something which I couldn’t catch. When I repeated that she wanted Martin, she started talking about house repairs. I’ve blocked the number now.

I stumbled upon a business known as Rington India. They've got this nifty application that allows you to make calls to India, quite similar to the Tesco calling card app. It seems their sales team is quite active on the phone!

It was a call from ring-to-india. They contacted me to say my balance was running low. I use their app to phone family in India. The call was no trouble, but the person on the other end wasn’t explaining things very well, so it made me a bit anxious at the start.

Yeah, its a firm called Ring to India, they provide cheap calls to Asian places like India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. They run a call centre in India but the UK number is blocked.
