I got a rather alarming call today featuring a pre-recorded message, which claimed that I was in hot water with HMRC. It suggested that if I didn’t press 1 to chat with someone from their team, I’d be facing an arrest warrant shortly! Honestly, the tone of the message felt rather exaggerated, bordering on unbelievable. Curious about this, I did a bit of digging on another website and discovered that the number was linked to a business going by the name of Apollo Damp Proofing. However, when I checked out their website, the contact numbers listed there didn’t match up at all. Very peculiar indeed!
