Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, but it was just a recorded message saying I’d been found guilty of tax fraud and there was a warrant out for my arrest. They told me to press 1 to deal with it. Don’t fall for it, just hang up! HMRC have warned this is a scam going around at the moment. Sometimes they say you’re owed a tax refund too, but really they’re after your personal details to get into your account. If you’re not sure, always ring HMRC yourself to check.
