I was abroad when this number from 0207 rang me, I picked up thinking it was a legit UK call, but as soon as I answered they just hung up straight away. Reporting this kind of thing on sites like this feels pointless. The harm is already done once you pick up, whether they’re confirming your number’s active for dodgy purposes or just wasting your time. And for me, it means paying extra for an international call I never wanted to take. Honestly, I reckon this website might be part of the problem, just letting people file complaints but doing nothing real about it. Loads of ads everywhere too, and most folks only look up the number after it’s too late! These callers should be banned forever, and seriously, whoever runs these numbers should be made to face proper consequences in public!

I’ve been getting the exact same thing with this number, along with a number starting 0161 popping up when they actually ring. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the 0161 one so now I just get a missed call message. Honestly, I’ve lost track how many times they’ve called me. Tried ringing back the 0161 362 4062 and there’s an automated message about some Claims Guide or something.

Also tried the 02071521444 number but got nothing, no answer at all. I used my other pay-as-you-go phone to try both numbers too.

There’s also been calls from other 0161 and 0203 numbers with the same kind of pattern - I’ve started saving each one and then blocking them after.

I reckon this might be Marlin Financial Services. I've got an outstanding debt with them and noticed I got two calls simultaneously - one from 02071521444 and the other from 01613626771, which I’m certain is Marlin. My guess is they ring from the 020 number just to check if you pick up before following up properly.
