7 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were ID mobile. They mentioned they'd return my call and then asked for my card details to charge it. Seemed suspicious to me.7 monthsOn Wednesday 25/02/26, my phone showed 020 7139 1356 ringing me three times by around 6:44 pm. I didn’t pick up as I didn’t know the number.1 yearI got a call from this number and it was actually legit. It was from Carphone Warehouse and Mobiles.co.uk because I’d ordered something from them.Carphone WarehouseMobiles. co. uk2 yearsI can confirm this number is genuine. They requested some personal info like my name, email, and address but it was regarding an order I placed for a mobile phone. They knew everything about my recent purchase. I also called Carphone Warehouse myself using the customer service number listed on their official website and they verified that this number belongs to them.Carphone Warehouse2 yearsJust wanted to say everything turned out alright, got my replacement SIM and the phone’s working perfectly, plus no issues with my bank account whatsoever! At first, I was a bit iffy since the call sounded really scratchy, almost like it was coming from abroad, but it was genuine. In my case, it was a girl named Laura from IDmobile ringing me from that number.Laura2 yearsI think this might be the number for the sales folks at mobiles.co.uk - you know, like ID Mobile, Currys or Carphone Warehouse. I’ll know for sure once my SIM arrives on Monday, and if it actually works and they haven’t taken money from my account without permission. When I rang back, it came up as Carphone Warehouse and it said to hold to speak to someone. After waiting, the operator asked for my phone number to look me up, so I gave it. Then they asked for my address and email, which made me stop and tell them to forget it. She then asked if I’d ever bought a phone from them before and I said no. My phone’s spam filter flagged the number, so I decided to play along pretending to be someone vulnerable with mental health issues, just to see what they'd try. I told them I wasn’t sure about the offer because I had a carer who handles everything for me. At first, they asked if my carer was nearby, and when I said no, you could almost picture them smiling to themselves. They started off with a “great phone deal” but then suddenly changed it to insurance. They were really pushy, constantly switching the topic to get my bank info. Can you believe they even asked for my banking password to prove my identity? After nearly half an hour of their nonsense trying to blag my details, I finally said, “Look, I’m not actually vulnerable - I was just seeing how far you’d go.” The guy then called me a w***er and hung up. Seriously, be cautious, these people are relentless and only care about scamming your cash. Proper nasty lot.3 yearsThey just keep ringing me!
