Got a call from someone saying they’re from commercial models. They wanted me to fork out a £50 deposit before anything. I’d heard before that legit modelling gigs don’t ask for money upfront though. Even my phone flagged the number as possibly spam.

I had a call today from someone called Rob Peters, apparently the New Face Manager at Next Generation Talent. He said he liked the photo I sent with my application and was really chatty and friendly. He mentioned he’d emailed me some details about the company and asked me to send over a recent photo. When I checked the email, it turned out they wanted a £50 deposit for a photoshoot. From what I can tell, they’re not really a genuine model agency but more of a first-line scout. The email kept pushing the whole “first come, first served” thing to hurry me up. I googled NGTalent and it seemed alright at first, but after reading reviews linked to this number and 02071352078, I decided not to proceed.
