When I picked up the phone, there was complete silence on the other end.

Blimey, they nearly had me fooled! Just about fell for their cunning ruse! Thankfully, I exercised a bit of caution and contacted O2 directly to verify their claims. Turns out, those blokes were nothing but a bunch of scammers, and that enticing 35% discount they promoted was nothing but a sham. What a close shave!

I received a rather peculiar phone call purportedly from O2, and the caller had my complete name! They mentioned a fantastic 40% discount, but here's the kicker-I’ve never been an O2 customer at any point. When I inquired why they had reached out to me, given my lack of affiliation with them, they abruptly ended the conversation. It certainly has all the hallmarks of a scam, doesn’t it?

They insisted they were representatives of O2, but it was obvious they weren't. I thought I'd have a little laugh and ask them to identify the phone I own, and they fluffed it spectacularly on the first go. Then they tried to correct themselves with another guess, which had me in stitches!
