Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE, saying they had a massive discount on my bill. The funny thing is I just signed up yesterday on a really cheap plan with extras, so it seemed odd. They wanted me to confirm my email to verify my account, but I deliberately gave them a wrong one. Instead of telling me it didn’t match, they asked me to spell it out, which made me realise it was dodgy. I passed them this number to 'check with EE'. They rang me from 07827392246 and said their name was John Christopher.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, saying they wanted to lower my monthly bill and asked for my email to 'verify' my identity. It didn’t sit right with me, so I asked for the caller’s full name and a contact number to ring back. They gave me a name, John Chrisbocher, with a phone number. I called Sky directly to check and they said it wasn’t one of their official numbers. The number that showed up on my phone was 01543648365.
