Spoke to an Asian woman claiming to be from BT sayin my broadband was being used by someone else. She had me open my browser and enter a site remotepc[###] which led to remotepcTM by iDrive. Then she asked me to download some software. I said I was hanging up and would report the call to BT, which I did straight away.

This annoying person rang us 9 times yesterday, the last one at 9.13pm. Luckily, BT call guardian stopped the calls. But they didn’t quit, they then phoned from another number, 0207 126 3248, and right after, an ‘INTERNATIONAL’ call showed up with no number. I’m dreading how many times they’ll try today.

Fraudsters really ought to be locked up. Some idiot rang me at my place just after 6pm on Monday the 26th of Feb, 2018. It was a bloke with a strong Indian accent. I've since put the number 02071248653 on my block list.

"Telephone Preference." This guy really won't give up! Got a call on our home phone tonight from a man with a strong accent, asking for me by name, claiming he’s calling from "Telephone Preference." I cut him off quick and told him he’s wrong, our number’s on the actual Telephone Preference Service list and he shouldn’t be ringing. Then I just ended the call. Like others have said, TPS is free and you never need to renew your registration. It’s worrying how people who aren't so tech-savvy might get tricked by calls like this.

After that, he started quizzing me about my bank info, even asking for my card expiry date. When I refused to give any more details, he pressured me, saying it was essential to update their records. Got a call from this number today 2.02.18, didn’t pick up. Looked up the number afterwards and glad I didn’t. What’s weird is, about an hour before, I’d had 3 calls from 01525510004 asking the same info as this call. They already had my name and address and, like some others said, started asking about my credit card details. I just ended the call. Just another scam number to block. This number's been ringing me a few times now. After I told them to get lost, they started calling just to annoy me. What they don’t get is I only keep the phone because of the internet, hardly ever use it for calls. I only switch it on when I want to mess with these idiots! This has to be a scam, because when I asked them why they kept ringing, they started getting quite irritable. They've phoned me five times in one day, which is seriously annoying. They said they were from the telephone preference service, but when I questioned why they’d call me if that was true, they couldn’t give a proper answer.
