Even though I've signed up for TPS, they still ring me up non-stop. Is TPS even worth it? Whenever someone phones, an automated reply says my number’s shielded by Call Guardian, but they just end the call anyway. It's like they don’t get that they’ve been blocked.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Eon saying my contract needed renewing. Thing is, I’m not even a customer with Eon!

Some bloke rang claiming to be from EON energy, saying they were my supplier or whatever. I told him no way, they've never been my supplier at all. Then he wanted to know who I actually used. I just told him, that's not your concern. He then threatened I'd end up with a huge bill if I didn’t spill the info. I wasn’t having any of it and told him straight where he could stick it!

These scammers are everywhere, and honestly, BT should really do something about them. It's clear that BT knows about all these annoying calls, but maybe they just don’t care since it might be making them more money. It’s about time someone took action!

Had this bloke calling again, some dodgy Pakistani guy with rubbish English, trying that old electricity con - claimed to be from Eon this time! I told him straight up he was talking nonsense and gave him the bird with some cheeky language. He keeps ringing back though, so I just chuck him on hold and let him listen to my terribly dull hold music for a bit :)

Got a phone call from this number claiming I’d been in a car crash. I told them they must have the wrong number because I was actually speaking from the local police station, and they just hung up right away.

Got a call a few days ago from someone claiming to be with EON. I informed them they weren't our energy provider. I said we use Scottish Power (which we actually don’t). Then, this week, another call comes through, this time saying they’re with Scottish Power! How come these scammers keep popping up using a landline number and no one can seem to trace them? It's so frustrating.

Got called by someone saying they were from E-ON, claiming our contract was up soon. When I asked again who exactly they were with, the bloke suddenly said EDF or whichever one, honestly. I asked to speak to a manager or whoever handles energy decisions, but told him no one's around and never will be. Left him on hold and he finally hung up. Three different numbers buzzed in a few minutes: 01745 872180, 0207 1239876, and 0161 5384067. These kinds of calls are a nuisance, blocking proper callers that could be real customers. Definitely scammers in my book.

On the 25th of July around half past twelve, I got a call on my home phone from 02071239876. The bloke on the line had an Indian accent and claimed he was calling from EON. I told him he was speaking way too fast, so then this woman took over, saying she was his "manager". She warned me my electricity would be cut off unless I gave them my meter readings and bank info. Seriously?? Who falls for that right away? It’s the older folks I worry about most - they’re the ones these scammers are really targeting and it’s about time something was done to stop them!

Some muppet rang me pretending to be from Eon, saying my energy deal was ending and asked if I wanted to renew it. They said they’d sent me something in the post, but it’s obviously a load of rubbish. If I had the patience, I’d mess about with them a bit and then tell them where to go, but honestly, I’ve got better things to do than waste time on their nonsense.

Got another call today, pretty sure it was the same bloke from before, sounded Indian or Asian, pretending to be from British Gas. He started to talk about some contract renewal but I told him I was busy and honestly felt like he was treating my time like it didn’t matter at all. After a bit of that, I just hung up on him. Seems like the same scammer just switched up his phone number slightly.

I got a call from a really annoyed bloke saying he was calling about my electricity renewal. He wanted to know who my provider was, and I asked why he didn't already know that if it’s meant to be up for renewal. Then he started rattling off the names of every energy company imaginable, and I kept saying no to every single one. After that, he got even more frustrated when I refused to say who I’m with and kept asking why I wouldn't just tell him. What a total scam. Best thing to do? Just hang up straight away.

Just a warning to everyone, these guys aren’t just energy consultants for British Gas, they’re basically middlemen for other middlemen! I get a kick out of messing with them, telling them I’ve got a contract with them when I haven’t got a clue. Steer clear of these lot!!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Opus saying my gas and electric deal was up for renewal and they needed my meter readings as my account was moving over to them. I just hung up. Then they rang me back pretending to be from Eon, warning that my gas and electricity would be disconnected in 20 days unless I gave them the readings. I ended the call straight away. What a cheeky scammer!

You could tell from the way they were talking and the noise in the back this was a total scam. They started with "hello gorgeous, how are you feeling today?" and I just shot back, "Honestly, sounds like you're one of those dodgy scammers wasting my time, so bugger off."
