I got a call from someone claiming to be from Posthanson or something like that, but I’m not too sure it was legit. The lady sounded a bit dodgy, and I thought it was probably a scam. Seems like these things are getting more common these days.

Just had a cheeky little encounter today, the 19th of March, with a dodgy so-called government official for about seven minutes. I'm situated in the Glasgow region with the 0141 area code. What a laugh!

This number called me twice today, just like others have said. The person said they were from some government office but wouldn’t say my name for sure. I kept him on the line for around seven minutes, having a bit of fun with it. I’m based in the 0141 Glasgow area.

Got a call from some robotic voice pretending to be from a government office. They said my PPI refund went through and I was owed £4000. They asked me to call them back, but it was obviously just another scam.

Got a call from a bloke with a posh English accent saying my PPI claim was successful or something like that. I don’t have any claim pending at all. Told the voice where to shove it and then just hung up. Blocked the number straight away.

So this number rang me the other day, but I didn’t say anything or confirm who I was. When I tried calling back, someone else answered and seemed like they knew my name and some details, but I made sure not to give anything away. They said they were from the Ministry of Justice Claims and Regulation and mentioned some kind of PPI refund. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

Yesterday I missed a call from this number, no voicemail left or anything. I’ve actually jotted down a few of their numbers before - they’ve phoned me a lot around late January. It sounded like some government office about an approved loan or a claim for overcharging, telling me to ring them back.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the gov, told me to call a certain number. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from this number earlier today. A bloke claiming to be from some government department said my PPI claim was approved. He sounded quite posh but the grammar was all over the place. Asked me to call back another number, but I hung up straight away. Bit risky really, because it somehow sounded legit.

This number just rang me but I ignored it since I didn’t know who it was. Seriously, what is the Information Commissioner’s Office actually doing about this? Apparently, 927 folks have looked it up which must mean they got a call from it, and 53 of them even left comments. I’m registered with the TPS too! Honestly, the ICO needs to step up and put a stop to these scammers for good.

This number rang me 23 times today according to my call history. I’ve got a BT call blocker set up and the 020 code is on the block list since I don’t know anyone from London. So, these calls don’t even make my phone ring, they get blocked straight away. Total waste of their time!

Not sure who that was, just let it ring and it went to answerphone without any message. My phone normally sends dodgy calls straight to voicemail if it doesn’t recognise the number. Feels like a scam to me, and could be risky, especially for elderly folks.

Around 3.35pm someone rang up saying they were with the National Crime Agency. When I asked them about the credentials of their boss, some Jason Smith (didn’t catch if that was his real voice or what), they got quite rude. Don’t fall for this, it’s a scam.

Yesterday, I got an automated call about some PPI claim approval. The bloke never said who he was or what firm he was from, and he didn’t even mention my name. He said it was really urgent and that I absolutely had to get back to him. I ended up having to call back to provide details about my claim. Honestly, I reckon this is probably a scam. If you ever get a call like this, best not to answer or ring back.

Like others have said, this supposed "government approved loan" call sounds dodgy. Honestly, I couldn’t believe it! The man on the line spoke clearly but it was exactly the same message I got yesterday. Because it claimed to be from some government department, I was told I had to ring back, but I’m not falling for that again.

What’s with these weird calls? Just like the last two people said, if they really knew us they’d just send a refund cheque already. Funny how everyone seems to be told they’re owed the exact same sum - makes you wonder where this is coming from. Reminds me of those credit card scam calls always asking about the same money! I’m glad I don’t bother replying, but it’s sad because these nutters prey on folks who might be more trusting and that’s gotta be stopped. Honestly, I reckon they’re even worse than what the others wrote about.
