I got a call from a bloke speaking with an Eastern European accent pushing me to put money into Bitcoin, saying I'd already tried investing. When I explained I'd lost my job and didn’t have any funds, he just told me to borrow cash and quit whining like a kid.

I got a call at the office on the landline from a woman claiming to be with BT, saying there was an issue with the internet that needed paying to fix. Thing is, we don’t have internet there at all. She then insisted on taking over my mobile and somehow managed to do it! I never gave her my mobile number or email, but I could hear strange noises like clicking, and then my phone stopped working. I’m completely baffled how that happened since I didn’t hand over any details, click on any links, or log into anything - I knew it was a dodgy call from the start.

Earlier today, I received a rather dodgy call from 02070975961. I had a feeling something wasn't right and managed to hang up before they could say much. Just a heads up - if this number rings you, be cautious! It seems to be a scam.

I got a call from an asian woman saying there was some problem with my internet. I asked for the company's number and looked it up on google while still talking to her. When I said it showed a scam alert, she just told me I was making stuff up. I told her to find a real job instead of trying to trick people.

I received a rather suspicious call supposedly from BT or Openreach, claiming there was an issue with my Internet connection. They asked me to inspect my router, and when I mentioned that the light was steady, the chap on the line insisted that everything must be fine now. Curious about his legitimacy, I requested his ID number along with a number to verify his credentials. I decided to ring the number he provided, 02070975961, and someone did pick up, claiming to be BT. Strangely enough, there was no welcoming message to confirm I had actually reached the official BT line. Quite the peculiar experience, I must say!

This number made its way onto a client's computer following an elaborate scam when she received a call claiming to be from 'Microsoft'. It baffles me how they managed to say it was for BT customer support, particularly since she was actually with TalkTalk. They went as far as to alter her Microsoft password, which then granted them access to all the passwords she had saved in her Edge browser. Do stay vigilant, everyone!

Got a call from someone called Vishram who said he was ringing from BT Open Reach. He wanted to talk to someone who wasn’t me, then asked if I was related to that person. I said he had the wrong number and I couldn’t chat right now. He kept pushing, asking why not. When I pressed him about the number he called from - 020 7097 5961 - he just ended the call. This was the fourth dodgy call I’ve had in just two days. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, using the number 02070975961. They told me there was a problem with our broadband and offered to fix it remotely. Thinking it was legit, I let them connect but it turned out to be a scam. They then tried to charge me for the ‘repair’. I refused to pay and disconnected the internet straight away. Even so, the scammer managed to cause quite a bit of harm to my files. I had to get my PC professionally cleaned and also informed anyone whose information might have been compromised. Be warned!

I had a rather alarming experience this morning with a couple of phone calls. The person on the line claimed to be from BT Campus located at Thames Valley Park, Reading (RG6 1WG). He identified himself as Kevin Khuska and gave me an employee ID of 2589. I began following his instructions to access my computer, but then I had the sense to pause and verify his authenticity. A quick search online revealed potential concerns about the number he called from, and I promptly shut down my computer. Here’s hoping I didn’t provide him with any sensitive details that could compromise my system. I’ll be notifying the bank’s fraud team just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, total scam vibes here. My landline barely gets used, maybe three folks have the number, yet it rung non-stop so I finally picked up. This lady with an Asian accent said she was from BT, talking about issues with my broadband and wanted to check my internet speed - telling me I needed a laptop for it (obvious red flag). I said I’d ring back later and she gave me this number. When I rang the real BT on their official 0800 line, they said it definitely wasn’t them. Definitely just another phone scam.

I received a call today from someone claiming to be from BT, stating there were security issues or faults detected on my line over the last few days. They were quite pushy, insisting I check my hub to see if the lights were behaving as expected. Feeling rather perplexed by their demands, I asked for confirmation of their identity as representatives of BT. They offered a name, an employee ID, and asked me to call back on 02070975961, while my caller ID showed 01753 889162. Their relentless persistence was rather off-putting, and they even transferred me to another individual in an effort to convince me of their legitimacy.

Received a call from this number earlier, claiming they were from BT. It’s funny - I had a similar one just days ago, supposedly from Open Reach. They both were keen for me to park myself in front of my computer and let them guide me through checking my internet speed and connection. I flat-out refused. They provided me with their name, this number, and even a BT employee ID. Now, I reckon it’s time for me to do my own bit of digging, as I’m not about to take this at face value...

This bloke with a thick Asian accent said he was ‘Nick Anderson’ from BT internet, saying there was an issue with my internet. When I told him I didn’t believe him and suspected a scam, he gave me a number to ring to check if he was legit. He also mentioned 0800 917 0120 as another number to call, but that number's too short for a proper BT customer service line and when I tried it, no one answered. I had a similarly dodgy encounter recently. A caller, purporting to be from BTOpenReach, informed me there was an issue with my router. She insisted that Virgin Media, which is what I use, was somehow reliant on BT Openreach, but that’s simply not the case. I received a rather alarming call purporting to be from BT’s cybersecurity team. They insisted that my phone line had been compromised and that, unless I granted them permission to set up some anti-hacking software, they would need to shut it down. By the time their so-called ‘assistance’ concluded, they had swindled a whopping £1800 from my credit card, and now my laptop is in a state of disarray. They even provided me with a number to verify their legitimacy with BT. However, upon checking two days ago, I found that there was no information linked to that number whatsoever. Quite suspicious, wouldn’t you say?

I recently had a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from BT. They started off by rambling about potential security breaches and how it might affect my internet performance, but of course, their real aim was to get me to download AnyDesk so they could remotely access my computer. They even offered to give me their name and phone number for a callback-this number, in fact! It's almost amusing how persistent some of these scammers are. Honestly, what a tiresome bunch they are!
