Sounds like a scam, probably from India, pretending to be a London number. I've had calls from 1049, 1050 and one ending in 1053. My phone usually only rings for numbers that might actually get through, but these kept popping up. Even my spam email got stuff linked to these numbers. Definite dodgy business.

This person called claiming to be from some company I’ve never heard of, saying I’d signed up for a course with them and wanted to hear my thoughts on it. I quickly told them I hadn’t signed up for anything. Then they said I must’ve accidentally clicked an ad and got registered by mistake. I told them that’s total nonsense, sounded like a scam to me, and just ended the call.

The phone flagged it as a scam, so when I picked up, I sounded pretty annoyed. The person on the other end just stayed quiet and then ended the call. Feels like they might be targeting older people, don’t you think?

Sounds like a total scam to me. Some bloke rang saying I had some kind of lost item or money and tried to help me sort it out. I wasn’t buying any of it! Gave him a polite no and hung up.
