I received a call from a personal number where a person claimed to be from "More Financial," offering a £1,000 loan to be paid back over 12 weeks at £89 a month. The name given was "Jerome," but when I checked, "More Financial" doesn't even seem to recognise that name. To make matters worse, they wanted my New York bank card details to verify my identity. I've got a strong feeling that this is a scam and I'm rather worried they’d try to pinch money from my account if I complied. Best to stay vigilant, I reckon!

I received a rather concerning call from a company named Heritage Financial, which claims to be a mortgage broker. They informed me that my loan had been approved and requested my credit or bank card details to verify my status in the UK. I genuinely recommend steering clear of these chaps; they seem to be nothing but a scam. I suspect they're just looking to part you from your money. There are plenty of dodgy brokers out there, so it's best to exercise caution. Don't fall for it!

Hey Burnmtince, I’m intrigued about how you figured that out! We just had a call from those folks who were nagging us about a loan, and all we did was read about them shortly after. Now, I’m left wondering if we ought to cancel our card, considering the bank’s response or lack thereof. What do you reckon?

I received a call from an unrecognised number from someone claiming to be with "More Financial." This individual, who referred to herself as "Jerome," was proposing some kind of loan at the rather peculiar rate of £89.00 each month for a duration of 12 weeks. Oddly enough, when I checked with More Financial, they insisted they had no record of anyone by that name. She proceeded to ask for my New York bank card details to apparently verify my identity, but truth be told, I have a strong suspicion that this was simply a ruse to siphon funds from my account. Definitely sounds fishy to me!

I received a call from an unknown number, and the caller claimed that I could secure a £2,000 loan over a 24-week period at a cost of £86 a month. From what I gathered, they’d stand to pocket around £50 in profit. During the conversation, the individual mentioned a broker's fee of £49, which would be required upfront once the loan was approved. When she requested our card details, I immediately suspected foul play and called it a scam. Although she insisted it was legitimate, we firmly stated we’d prefer to call them back. A crucial rule of thumb: if any lender asks for card information before the loan is arranged, it’s likely a ruse. These people certainly need to be reported.

Hi there Burnmtince, hope you're doing well! Just wondered how you came to identify this number? We had a rather unexpected call from them asking for our details regarding a loan, and we ended up sharing some info before we thought better of it. Now we're in a bit of a quandary about whether we should just go ahead and cancel our card right away or not. What do you reckon?

I just had a rather alarming experience with a company called Heritage Financial. They presented themselves as a loan brokerage and claimed that I had been approved for a loan. Surprisingly, their next move was to ask for my credit card or banking details to verify my residency in the UK. Let me just say-do not divulge any of your information to them! It's a fraudulent operation, and their sole aim appears to be fleecing you of your hard-earned cash. There are numerous dodgy loan brokers out there employing this very tactic, so stay alert and cautious!
