Somebody rang, said they were from O2 wanting to help me lower my bill. They asked what I was currently paying, but when I told them to tell me my own bill since they’re O2, they started rambling about saving me £7. I asked what my new monthly charge would be, got more nonsense, so I just ended the call. Rang them back and then blocked the number straight away. Definitely a scam, and the person’s accent was really thick, not local at all.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2 and wanted to help me cut down my bill. Oddly enough, they sent a security code to my phone and kept insisting I take some sort of offer. I just threw out a made-up 6-digit code twice and they suddenly got annoyed and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam. They didn’t know any details about my account and couldn’t even name any of the phone numbers on it. Plus, the number they called was actually on EE, not O2.

Just got yet another random ring from some emergency blood transplant line. Seriously, if you ever get these kinds of calls, just block the number straight away. Don’t give them the time of day because that kind of spam could end up interfering with a real urgent blood transfusion for someone close to you. Starve the nuisance calls!
