Keep getting phone calls from some claims firm even tho my son hasn’t been in any car accident. Someone rang me claiming to be from CAS Services about a crash I had in my car. I just don't get how these lot actually earn anything by doing this?

The one time I did answer, they said they were from some legal firm. Today I actually picked up since I was waiting on a call, and it was another claims outfit again. Got a call from some legal firm saying I’m owed cash, they say the insurer’s holding it because of a claim. All I gotta do is say I’m feeling pain!!! But honestly, I’ve never had any pain at all. I’ve been annoyed loads by this number and a couple of others calling my mobile the past month after I did a car insurance quote on COMPARETHEMARKET, even tho I said no to sharing my info! I’ve had the same phone number since 2001 and always been really careful with it, hardly ever got calls like this before that quote, so it really winds me up. The government should really crack down on this kinda stuff, these phone scams are a right pain and honestly need to be sorted out.

Got another call just now, only the second time in a fortnight. Caller said they were from 'claims services plc'. They seemed to know my name and some bits about my car, but the moment I asked them simple stuff like “which car exactly?”, they just ended the call. They’re the type of dodgy company that’s probably why our insurance costs keep going up. 15/07/20 Had a similar thing to the person on the 16th. When I picked up, the bloke said he was ringing about a car accident from the 2nd of September. I told him I'd not been in any crash. He got quite rude after that, asking what else I’d had then? I've gone ahead and blocked this number now.

Lately, I’ve been getting loads of calls about supposed accidents. Usually, I just say no and end the call, but today I got curious and decided to hear them out. The person said they were from The Claims Service and claimed I’d been in a car crash back in July 2013. According to them, the other party had already paid and I was owed some compensation. They mentioned I’d only had minor aches and no medical evidence would be needed. Oddly, they couldn’t tell me who my insurer was.
