Phone number ☎️ 02070734734 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating HMRC and the High Court, employing aggressive tactics to pressure victims into paying fictitious tax debts. Callers often use an automated message prompting recipients to press a number, then connect to individuals with foreign accents who threaten legal action, including arrest and asset seizure. They request personal and financial information, instruct victims to use money transfer apps like Revolut or Wise, and sometimes reference official UK websites to appear credible. Numerous reports confirm these calls are fraudulent; genuine HMRC or court communications will never demand immediate payment or request money over the phone. Recipients are advised to hang up immediately, avoid sharing details, and report such scams to authorities to prevent financial loss and identity theft.

Someone using this number sounds like a hacker pretending to be important. I got a call saying I supposedly have five bank accounts and that I’m being investigated for fraud by the bank. It’s definitely a scam, don’t believe a word!

Total con! Got a call from a guy speaking with an Indian accent claiming I had debts to pay. Trust me, neither HMRC, any bank, nor the courts would ever demand big payments over the phone like that. Avoid it!

I got a call on 07768 234422 warning me I was about to be taken to court for fraud. Without really thinking I hit 1 to speak to someone, and was straight through to a guy who sounded Indian. He said the line was bad and then rang me back from a 0207 number. He started asking for my name, address, and how I pay my taxes. That’s when I started to get suspicious and asked how I could be sure he wasn’t trying to scam me, as my mum had been tricked badly before. He claimed he was calling from the High Court for HMRC and said he’d ring me again this morning. I’ve now blocked both numbers.

I just got a call from this number claiming to be from the Inland Revenue. The caller insisted that bailiffs had tried to visit my home twice to deliver a notice warning me about legal action for unpaid taxes unless I paid up straight away. They also said that on the second visit, a letter was left through my door, asking me to pick up a registered letter at the local post office. The man, who sounded quite foreign, went on to explain that after a 5-year audit, the Inland Revenue found I owed more tax.

He then said he couldn’t reveal any more info unless I confirmed my postcode and house number. I gave it to him since I’d recently been dealing with the tax office. When I challenged him to prove who he was and asked for evidence of the letters he claimed to have sent, I told him I’d end the call if he couldn’t provide that. Without any hesitation, he just hung up on me.

These lot just rang me on my UK work mobile, even though I’m living overseas. What’s weird is I only really use that phone for work and once to notify DWP about a relative passing away. So at first I thought the call might be about that, but it didn’t take long to realise they were fishing for details and didn’t even know my name. Like many others here, first there was a recorded message pretending to be from HMRC warning me to press 1 to avoid legal trouble. Then it connected to a woman with an Indian accent who asked my name. I told her “You called me, what do you want?” and she just hung up. She called right back saying the call dropped and told me it was about taxes. I said I don’t even live in the UK or pay tax there, and she ended the call. Nothing since then. Looked up the number and loads of people have flagged it as a scam. Totally dodgy behaviour!

It asked me to press 1 to talk to someone, so I did. Then an Indian bloke came on the line, but his accent was so thick I couldn’t really catch what he was saying. He basically claimed I owed them £900. When I started asking him some questions, he just cut the call off.

Just today I informed both Action Fraud and the police about this phone number. Earlier this morning, I received a call from 07519 416280. The person on the line claimed to be an officer and said my identity had been stolen, with large amounts of money taken. He mentioned someone else would call shortly to help me. Not long after, I got a call from another number: 020 7073 4734, where the caller tried to get me to send money so they could investigate, saying it would save me from needing a lawyer or possibly going to jail. The police have confirmed this is a scam and advised me to simply ignore such calls. If this was legit, they wouldn’t be ringing; I’d have received an official letter instead.

I got a call and ended up sharing my personal info. The woman on the line said the police were going to show up at my place. It all felt really dodgy to me, so I reckon it's a scam.

I just had a spam call too, someone claiming to be from HMRC. They asked for my full name, date of birth, and NI number, and I actually gave it to them, thinking it was legit. Things started to feel dodgy when they asked me for money, so I ended up hanging up. Still, I’m really worried now that I handed over my info to them 😟.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed £1900 in taxes. They said if I didn’t pay up quick, they’d send the police round. They even told me they’d refund the money to my account within a minute. Pretty sure it was a scam though.

Got a call from this number today, and the person on the other end was saying someone’s stolen my identity and opened three bank accounts using my name at different banks. They claimed my real bank account might get overdrawn and I’d have to pay a penalty of over £1000. They even told me to look up the number on Google. Then they wanted me to download the Revolut app and log into my bank account, and keep pushing me to send money to some random account. I just hung up straightaway. Watch out for these calls - they rush you, confuse you, and basically try to scare you into doing things without thinking twice.

So I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed £1000 for some tax mistake. Thing is, I’m only 18 and just started a part-time gig at McDonald's. The lady on the phone was really nasty, pushing me to pay right away and even threatening to send cops to my house. The number they called from was 07477079963. Definitely a scam!

I got a call from this number, and the person on the other end was making all kinds of threats about alleged tax evasion. They managed to convince me to send money to what turned out to be a scammer’s bank account. Afterwards, when it dawned on me that it was a con, I rang HMRC. While waiting to speak with someone, their automated messages said clearly that HMRC never calls people on the phone. Wish I’d known that before I fell for it!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed back taxes. They used a genuine number that actually belongs to the tax office, which made it seem like a proper call. They convinced me there was some unpaid tax and then said I could fix it by sending money straight to them through a banking app. As soon as I wired the cash, they vanished completely and no one ever contacted me again. Definitely a total scam.

A woman named Scella Forster rang me up and claimed I owed some ‘general tax’. She pressured me to admit straight away if I was guilty, telling me I’d need to pay £763 if I was, or else face a court battle if I wasn’t. Turns out, there’s no such thing as a general tax. Throughout the call, she wouldn’t let me speak to anyone else, and whenever I asked for more info, she kept snapping “do you think this is some kind of joke?” She even gave what she said was an official number and stuck strictly to a rehearsed script to sound legit.

Just like me, I was busy with something when this woman wouldn't let me hang up and call again later. She said I couldn't cut the call off halfway and had to stay on the line. Such a pain!

BEWARE OF SCAM! I got a call from 07576391466 telling me there was a warrant out for my arrest over tax evasion. Then they rang me again from 02070734734, which I later found is listed as the Judiciary Court’s number online - but obviously, they spoofed it. They wanted me to pay £945 through my REVOLUT account to clear it up and dodge arrest when I get back to the UK (I was abroad at the time, so it freaked me out at first). After a bit I realised it was a total scam and ended the call. Still, they bothered me with calls all day. Watch out for this!

SCAM ALERT! Got a call from 07477985950 claiming I had a tax evasion warrant out for me. They gave me a website to check out and even rang me twice from the same number. When I called back, I could hear someone whispering in the background - very dodgy. I just ended the call straight away. Watch out for this one!

Absolute scam! They rang me too. They’re so clever, pretending to be from the HMRC court using the same phone number. These lot just shout nonsense to frighten you and try to get your cash. They told me I was on some red list and that all my documents were blocked, demanding £945. They even said I was pregnant! I was terrified at first but soon realised it was all a load of rubbish!!!

Beware, it's definitely a scam. They tricked me into paying £995, then later got me to send another £2000, pretending to be from the Court. They made me transfer the funds through my online banking straight to Wise and Revolut apps. When there were problems with those apps, they told me to send several smaller payments instead. They claimed I hadn’t declared my taxes and said I was facing four different charges. Then they gave me the option to either deal with it in court or clear it up by paying. They even advised me to go to my bank and sort the payments out there. The numbers they called from were 07477326020 first, followed by 020 7073 4734.
