Got a message saying it was O2, saying if I replied to a few texts, I’d get a discount. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it.

That text was definitely trying to phish me, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Some bloke called pretending to be from O2 saying I could get a 40% discount. When I mentioned I was already an O2 customer, he sent me a text with a code, then asked me to read it out loud to him - which O2 always warn against, so I knew right away it was dodgy. I told him I was busy and asked him to call back later. He kept pushing, saying it’d only take five minutes. I just stayed quiet to see what he’d do next. After a big sigh, he hung up but rang straight back, so I just ignored the call. I’ve blocked the number and will be getting in touch with O2 to report it.

Someone rang me saying they were from a mobile phone company and wanted my bank info to sort out a discount on my account. Problem is, I’ve never even had a contract with them. The person on the line was really aggressive and kept insisting I was being untruthful. When I asked to speak to a manager, they just repeated the same spiel and hung up as soon as I pressed them for proof about my account details. Proper sketchy behaviour.
