I just received an email on our business account from eBay, stating that a payment of £1,219.75 has been processed for a Samsung 55SS95B OLED Smart TV. The seller's ID is rick tyler-7. The tricky part is, we don’t even have an eBay account for our business! After checking thoroughly, our account is definitely not connected to eBay. I took a look at our account for any sign of this transaction, but there’s nothing there. I tried to find the phone number given in the receipt, but it just leads to a landline in London. Furthermore, I searched for the item on eBay, and lo and behold, there's indeed a TV that fits the description, but it's listed at £1,219.00. Quite puzzling, isn’t it?

I received a message claiming to be from eBay, stating that a significant item was purchased through my account and asking if the transaction was indeed mine. They suggested providing my banking information to halt the payment if necessary. This is clearly a scam! I promptly checked my eBay account, and there’s absolutely nothing listed. Plus, I always pay via PayPal, never with my bank card.
