Got an email to our work address from eBay saying a payment had gone through for a Samsung 55SS95B OLED Smart TV priced at £1,219.75. The seller was listed as rick tyler-7. The strange thing is, we don’t actually have an eBay account tied to our business email. I had a look at our bank just to be sure and there was no sign of any payment like that. Tried calling the number on the email receipt and it’s a London landline, which seemed a bit off. Then checked eBay myself and found a similar TV for about £1,219, but nothing matching exactly with the payment details. Bit suspicious really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Ebay, saying a big purchase was made using my account and asking if I recognised it. They said they could cancel the payment if I gave them my bank info. Total scam! I logged into my Ebay and nothing at all was there and I always pay through PayPal, never directly with my bank card.
