Received a call out of the blue today from someone claiming to be from "BFI", and I’m over here in Ireland. The bloke on the line, sounded either Indian or English, was pretty disrespectful and refused to tell me where they found my contact details. I’m definitely filing a GDPR complaint about this. They rang from this number: +44 2038683531.

Got a call earlier today. Could hear loads of giggling in the background but when I answered, nobody was there. I said 'hello' and then they just ended the call... Been getting these annoying calls for ages, but my phone’s ancient so I can’t block the number.

So, I got a call from some lady with a weird accent, trying to give me financial tips. I just said I wasn't interested, and she quickly hung up on me. What’s strange is she called my mobile, which I barely ever answer, instead of my home phone. My mobile number isn’t out there anywhere, but it is linked to Facebook Messenger - sounds like Dr. Kogan’s at it again, leaking private info or something.

Had this woman call me the other day, jabbering away in what sounded like a fake Yorkshire accent, going on about “t####” or some nonsense. Don’t have a clue how she got hold of my mobile number since I’m with TPF. It made zero sense, so I just ended the call. Smells like a scam to me.

I got a call from some guy with a strange accent, he was going on about investments and finance stuff, said he was from BFI. You could hear loads of people chatting away in a call centre behind him. I acted like I was actually interested but like, totally sarcastically. Next thing I know, he just hangs up on me.

Got a call from a lady with a foreign accent, going on about earning cash online with stocks and stuff. Played along, acted like I was keen just to find out if she’d try to get my bank info. I kept saying yeah while jotting down the number she gave me. Must’ve said yes to something because she said someone else would be in touch, then hung up. About a minute later, a Bristol number called me - I let it ring out twice without picking up. Watch out for this one!

WARNING: SCAM ALERT - Someone attempted to deceive me by talking incessantly about the London Stock Exchange. Despite informing them that I couldn't afford to invest, they continued yakking. Finally, to get them off my back, I made it clear that I didn't require their assistance in managing my meager funds and promptly ended the call.

Someone called from BFI - which I thought was the film people, but nope, it stood for Basic Financial Introduction or something like that. Honestly, I think it’s best to report these people to “action fraud.” You can either give them a ring on the 0300 number they list on their official site, or just report it through their website. I’ve tried sharing the link here a few times but it keeps blocking me from posting it.

I missed this call, but my number’s only been active for a few days. Not even my mum has it yet, and I definitely haven’t taken out any loans or finance. I’m also on the electoral roll’s silent list, so I’m really puzzled how they managed to get hold of it. I’m with EE, maybe they share numbers or something, but honestly, it’s really annoying and worrying.

I’ve got this app called True Caller on my phone, and when you flag a number as “Spam,” it blocks it from calling again and even shows you who called. Today, I got a call from BFI Finances - seems like they've been pestering loads of people lately! Honestly, this app is a lifesaver, saves you from dealing with annoying scam calls. I also make sure to report these dodgy callers to the ICO as well. Definitely recommend everyone to get it!

Got a call today just before 10 from this number. A woman named Sarah with a thick accent said she was ringing from BFI, offering “free financial advice” or something like that. I got a call on my cell and when I asked where they got my number from, they just ignored my question. They went on about how they could boost my returns in the stock market. I wasn’t having any of it and hung up right there. Sounds like another dodgy scam or something fishy. Best stay well clear of these lot.

Got a call from this BFI lot. Felt like one of those dodgy scam or annoying calls. Just went ahead and blocked the number straight away.

Really annoying, got a call out of nowhere saying it was from the BFI. Total scam, don’t fall for it! They try so hard to sound legit but it’s just a trick. Heads up to everyone!

Got a call from this number on 8 March. I picked up thinking it could be about my flight booking, but there was nobody on the other end. Tried calling back and got a message saying, “You’ve dialled the wrong number...” I looked it up here and after seeing all the dodgy reviews, I blocked it straight away. Then, just today on 15 March, I noticed the same number calling again but it was blocked. I reckon they'll keep trying on 22 and 29 March too! Seems like one of those scammy fake number calls. Definitely don’t answer. Just block it, folks!

Got a call from BFI today, they asked how they even got hold of my number. I hardly ever get spam calls on my phone. They claimed they found it online and said they only have my name and number. I told them this is my personal number, not for random calls, and to stop calling me. The lady then tried to pitch some way to make money online. I just told her again to never ring me back and then ended the call. Afterwards, I blocked the number.

I was busy working so I didn’t pick up. They ended up leaving a voicemail though. For about 10 seconds there was just some random noise, then the guy sighs and blurts out “I want a f##king fish.” After that I decided to block the number straight away!

This bloke spoke with a really thick accent and kept going on about some stocks. I asked if he was trying to pitch me a service, and he just mumbled something fast and dropped the call. Proper annoying! Also, how on earth did he get my name?

Got a call from a woman called Jane claiming to be from BFI. I asked her to give me the company's full name and address she was representing but she wouldn't share anything. I insisted I had the right to know their head office location, and all she could say was "Dover," but couldn't provide an actual address - even though she supposedly works there! Felt like a total scam. At least I managed to keep her on the line for a bit, so hopefully she didn’t bother anyone else straight away.

This number called me twice now. First time, nothing but silence. The second call, a woman answered and told me an advisor would be in touch. I said, "No, please don't." She insisted, "Sir, this call will be good for you."

Watch out, this is a scam! Definitely dodgy.

Received a call on my mobile from 020 7067 6451 at 4:54 PM on 14th March 2018, but let it slip by as they didn't leave a message. I reckon it’s yet another one of those pesky solicitors chasing after clients!

In the last few days, this number popped up on my phone a couple of times. I didn’t pick up either time, so I rang back, but each time I got a message saying I’d reached the wrong number. Bit strange, really!

Got a call from Basic Financial Introductions or something like that, saying they wanted to share my info with another company. I had no clue what Mobile/TPS listings were about and told them I wasn't keen. After a while, they just gave up and ended the call. It’s definitely spam. They’ve rung me twice already and don’t seem to care about Do Not Call lists.

Got a call from some place called British Financial Services, trying to chat about online investments. The background was full of noise like a busy call centre. I asked if they record their calls, they said no. I told them I wasn’t interested and asked them to delete my details from their list.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with "BFI Basic Financial Introductions," going on about some new method for shopping online. They kept saying I must have agreed to be contacted through some online form. Honestly can’t wait for GDPR to really hit these kinds of calls hard and put a stop to this nonsense.

Got a call from a number that sounded like it was from some noisy pub or something. The woman asked for me by my last name, which was a bit creepy as to how they got that. She had a thick Asian accent, and the moment I answered, she just hung up. I looked up the number here and decided to block it. Hopefully, with all the new data laws, they’ll get caught for this kind of thing soon.

Got a call from what I’m pretty sure was a scammer, but they just hung up straight away. Seems like they’re just grabbing phone numbers to use later. The government? Not bothered at all, probably because they’re mates with the people cashing in on this rubbish.

Binary options, huh? How do people even fall for that? Got a call the other day, and after that awkward pause typical of call centres, a woman picked up and asked how I was doing - like she actually cared. I told her I was fine, but that cold calls weren't really my thing. She just launched into, "We heard you might be interested in Binary options." I didn't hold back and told her to shove it, then ended the call. But guess what? The very next day, I get another ring from 02061359714, this time with the number hidden! So annoying.
