7 yearsSomebody called saying they were from BT, telling me my router had malware that my actual provider hadn’t spotted. They claimed their system had picked it up and gave me a code to verify it, which sounded dodgy to me. Then they told me to press Ctrl plus the Windows key at the same time. I called BT directly after and they said it was definitely a scam. Turns out that key combo would’ve let them take over my computer and see all my info.
