4 yearsGot a call from a number I didn’t recognise and when I answered, some recorded message played with an American accent saying it was HMRC. It claimed I had a tax bill that needed sorting or legal action would follow. The message told me to press 1 to talk to someone straight away to avoid problems. I’m guessing next they’d try to get me to cough up cash right away on the spot. Total con artist stuff. HMRC would never ring like that or sound like someone from the States. Just ignore it and definitely don’t press 1!HMRCSubmit Your Own Report (020 7063 4400)
