Got a recorded message from some place called Home Style Improvements, saying someone will get back to me soon about my query. Total scam call though, never even heard of or phoned them before. Feels like one of those dodgy call centre calls.

Debt collectors calling. They make you pick up for some voice check but dont say anything. They might even pretend to be someone else, just so they can come round to your place while you're home & you'll open the door thinking they're from a home service or something. Watch out, they arent who they say they are.

If this was a legitimate call, they’d have stayed on the line longer.

I got a call from this number saying they were from O2 with an offer for my pay as you go phone. It felt legit to me. They even mentioned how much credit I had left, and the email they sent came from o2mail.co.uk, which is the official O2 mail server. This is a bit different from what others have said here. I’m guessing maybe this call centre might work for other companies too, but I can’t see why they'd mix them up with O2, so not sure what to think.

Just have a look where the calls are coming from. Block those numbers, and if they're from outside the UK, block those too, or you'll be swamped by calls from loads more numbers. Never answer calls from unknown numbers or reply in any way, otherwise your number gets added to some ‘active list’ that cold callers use, meaning you'll get bombarded even more. Just a heads up from me!
