12 yearsCalled the mobile, but there was no response.13 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to be from Orange, purporting to discuss my broadband and phone line package. They informed me that for the sum of £26.80, they could upgrade my services at no additional charge. It was rather perplexing, as they had all my details right in front of them and insisted it was a marvellous offer that I simply couldn't refuse. When I expressed my doubts about the amount I was supposed to be paying, the caller assured me that I was, indeed, shelling out that much. I mentioned that perhaps it would be wise for me to shop around for a better rate, at which point she quickly suggested that I could save £11 a month by opting to pay the rental fee in advance for the entire year, claiming it would net me a savings of £146. In my calculations, I arrived at £136 in savings.
