So, I signed up with Amnesty International to get some free stickers and I’m pretty sure I said I didn’t want calls, but maybe I messed up and hit the wrong option. Anyway, they rang me just before 8pm on a Friday which was a bit annoying. The bloke on the phone was polite when I said I couldn’t chat then. This number has been ringing me daily for a bit now, usually in the afternoon here in the UK, like late afternoon. I never pick up since I’ve no idea who it is, and I’ve come to learn it might be some kind of scam. I’m gonna block it for good.

This number does not appear on the Amnesty site at all. The person called me four more times in the last ten days. I’ve never had Amnesty ring me up like this before. I don’t trust random callers, even if they already have my email. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be with Amnesty International. He started talking about some human rights problems in Iran and then mentioned that they could accept donations over the phone, but warned against giving out the long numbers on your debit or credit card. I found it a bit dodgy and said I’d rather donate through their website. He was alright with that. Still feels a bit iffy to me; could easily be a scam.

Got a call on 2nd Feb but they hung up before I could pick up, no voicemail left. Then just now on 11th Feb, they rang again sayin they were from amnesty international looking for donations. Nah, I don’t share any info over the phone.

02070331710 just called me a bit ago, and I could hear a grown man talking with a kid in the background. I said hello a few times but didn’t get any reply, so I guessed it was likely a wrong number, maybe the child dialling by mistake. I ended the call after about twenty seconds.

They really seemed eager to speak with me. Every time they called, the phone rang about 20 times, then they stopped and rang right back almost immediately. Got 4 calls in total. Didn’t bother leaving any voicemail either.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Amnesty International, trying to get a donation for an Iranian case. I told them I could support by emailing or writing to the people involved instead of giving money, and they just cut me off straight away. Feels like a scam to me.

Got a call out of the blue from someone saying they were from Amnesty International. Not sure where they got my number from. They said I signed some petition, but I never did and even if I had, I wouldn't give out my phone number. Didn’t say who I was either. Seemed pretty sketchy to me, like a total scam.

Someone called asking for a person I’ve never heard of. I told them no one by that name lives here, and they said sorry and that they’ll fix their info.

The number appears on my caller ID as the Amnesty International Fund Team. I’ve tried to look them up but can't seem to locate any information about such an organisation. Additionally, someone reached out to me on Facebook claiming to represent the same group, telling me I’d won a prize. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

+44 20 7033 1710 I had this number saved as Amnesty International before. Still not convinced it’s legit, especially if they’re spoofing it. How can anyone be sure it’s not some fraud? No voicemail or anything left. Smells a bit dodgy to me.
