I got a call that I’m pretty sure was from Google. They asked a couple of questions, but everything seemed totally above board.

Had a bloke ring up saying he was from Google Ads support. In the last few days, I’ve got calls from loads of similar “advisors,” which really makes me doubt if these are legit. When so many folks keep ringing all at once, it doesn't really do Google any favours. Honestly, it just comes across as quite pushy and irritating instead of actually useful.

Don't worry... It's just from your GOOGLE ADS account. They get in touch since you run a website and have Google ads set up.

On our site, loads of fake newsletter sign-ups pop up with this number. The email addresses look dodgy, usually with extra digits tacked onto the last name. Every time someone signs up, they have to put in a phone number, and this one keeps turning up. Seems to be a scam, but our IT lot are sorting it out now.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, wanting to talk to someone called Neil. I told her there’s no one by that name here and asked which firm she was ringing about. The name she said was so unclear I couldn’t make it out. She claimed she was from Google Ads and that she got the number off of ‘the card’. I told her she must have dialled the wrong number, but she carried on insisting it was right. Eventually, I just hung up on her.

Yeah, it's definitely google ads. You can double-check in your google ads dashboard. They’re basically offering help with your campaigns, and of course, they’ll try to get you to spend more money. But you’re always free to decline. Honestly, they’ve been pretty useful for improving my campaigns.

I reckon it's one of those Adwords calls, likely from somewhere in India. They say they're connected to Google, but from my experience, if you let them assist, your Google bills just shoot up and sales stay the same. I've told them a few times I've got my own guy handling it, yet they still keep ringing me up.

I got a call from this number today while I was driving. The caller ID showed GOOGLE in LONDON. I never pick up calls when I’m driving. They didn’t leave a voicemail. Then about a minute later, I got another call from 0161 6199297, which my phone said was GOOGLE in MANCHESTER. Again, no message left. I figured it’s either some kind of scam or a telemarketer. When I looked it up on who-called.co.uk, the first number showed up as linked to scammers. I’m guessing the Manchester number is connected too. BE CAREFUL!

I checked the number and address for Google in London, and these are the phones they use: +442070313000, +442070313001. After trying to call a few times with either no answer or just a voicemail saying they were closed, I ended up sending a signed-for letter on the 16th of October. Not sure why I still haven’t gotten any reply! The addresses I found are: 1) London-PFS, 6 Pancras Sq., London, N1C 4AG. 2) London-BEL, Belgrave House, 76 Buckingham Palace Rd, London, SW1W 9TQ.

Got a call from a firm acting like they were from Google. They come across pretty smooth and even send you a verification email to make it look legit. When I asked them straight up multiple times, they kept insisting they were Google. Only after pushing them hard did they admit they weren’t, just trying to get you to let them handle your Google ad budget for a fee. These sorts of people should really be called out; they keep fibbing and falsely claiming to be Google. They’re not Google, just some company loosely connected.

It might actually be Google, but watch out coz scammers could fake this number. Don’t share any personal details with someone who rings you out the blue, instead use the number you find on your Google account to call them back. Never fully trust unexpected calls, but keep in mind that not every unknown number is a scam.

People who manage Google Ads. The last time i spoke to them, they switched all our keywords to broad match, and then our costs increased while our conversions dropped. They're friendly enough but all they seem to do is enable every automation feature, and keep saying "awesome" at the end of each sentence.

Really Google? I’m guessing they use some kind of auto dialler system, and if there's no answer from their side it just says something like "youve been disconnected" (sounds like 'car') and ends the call. Proper annoying. But it might be someone faking Googles number. If it’s actually Google, they should make their autodialler more polite and say who they are.
