I got a call from a quiet Indian bloke who said he was ringing from the Telephone Preference Service. He wanted to check the expiry date on the debit card I'd supposedly given when signing up. Something felt off straight away - I mean, why would they ask for card details to register? He sounded really polite and convincing though, but I was certain it was a scam.
