I must admit, I had a bit of a worry about that phone number I received this Saturday afternoon. It’s reminiscent of a time in July 1950, when we were trying to sort out my husband’s pension; a bit of a personal affair, if you ask me. Now, she’s been instructed to provide her details, which raises questions about the legitimacy of these pension firms. But really, why on earth should she divulge any personal information to someone whose identity is shrouded in mystery? In this day and age, we really ought to exercise caution when chatting on the phone, unless we can be absolutely certain of who's on the other end. The number of scams flying about these days is simply alarming!

This lot are from ORC International, a bunch of drainers in the market research game. They've been ringing off the hook, despite us reporting them to the Telephone Preference Service. I highly doubt they'll take any real action-just the usual ineffectual response. Their headquarters is located at Angel Corner House, 1 Islington High Street, London, N19AH. The number is 020 7675 1000. Let’s give them a piece of our minds!

We received a call today at 10:40 from the number 02070003952. They were jabbering away at a rapid pace, but we made it clear that we're registered on the do not disturb list and have set preferences for our phone. These folks were insisting that their calling doesn’t fall under those rules because they’re not peddling anything. Well, to put it bluntly, we told them to take a hike! What a nuisance!

I received a call from this number, and the moment I picked up, all I heard was some bloke saying, "Hello, you absolute tosser, what a load of rubbish!" We didn’t stick around to listen to any more foul language and promptly hung up. They tried to ring us again, but we decided against picking up the phone. It’s hard to tell if it’s just some dodgy marketing operation or if it’s simply cheeky sods making rude calls.

Received a call at 18:09 from someone claiming to be from HM Customs, saying I had supposedly made an inquiry with them. I denied it and asked for clarification regarding their reference. They quickly apologised and hung up the phone. Absolute morons!

I received a call around 20:49 earlier on, claiming to be conducting a survey regarding Freeview. I told them to shove off since our number is ex-directory. They were quite evasive about how they managed to obtain my details!

When I dialled that number, an operator took my call and assured me that she would verify their details. She confirmed that the company is indeed a legitimate market research organisation.

I just got a call moments ago where the caller asked specifically for our partner by name. However, the instant I offered to take a message, they just hung up without hesitation. Seems like they were either trying to sell something or possibly just probing for information. Very peculiar behaviour!

No! These callers persistently ring us, asking for our partner by name. It's either in the early afternoon or, as was the case tonight at 19:45. How on earth can we put a stop to them?

Today at around 10:40, we received a call from the number 020703952. The conversation was absolutely rapid-fire, and we made it clear that I'm registered with the telephone preference service. It seems these callers are trying to wiggle their way around those rules by insisting they're not actually selling anything. We retorted, well, good luck with that! Just go away, you pesky leeches!

Received a call from 02070003952 on my highly private mobile, and once we uncover who’s passed on our number or who these nuisances are, there’s bound to be consequences. Not amused at all!

I received a call earlier today from someone claiming to represent a company called BIS. They wanted to speak with one of our directors regarding new legal updates that could potentially impact our business. When I asked if they could leave a message, the caller noticeably grew impatient, saying, “We make the rings, so could these people ring us back promptly?” Then, without much ado, they hung up after I asked them again for their details so we could get back to them. Quite the peculiar encounter!

I've been quite troubled by this number. I received a call on Saturday afternoon and yet another on Tuesday at ten to eight, with someone wanting to conduct a survey regarding our husband's pension. They even mentioned her name directly! The pension company insists it's legitimate, but honestly, why on earth should she disclose any information to a stranger? In this day and age, trust is a rare commodity when it comes to phone calls, unless you're absolutely certain of the caller's identity. There seem to be countless scams floating about lately!

I was enjoying the rugby match when this number buzzed my phone. I really can’t stand interruptions when the game is on, and this was especially frustrating given the looming deadline we’re juggling. After checking out some other people's comments, it seems it's just a marketing company trying to pester us. Honestly, it would be lovely to return the favour and give them a ring just to wind them up a bit!

I nipped out to the shops last night without my mobile, only to return home and discover a missed call. The number was 02070003952, which struck me as rather dubious, what with all the zeros! I thought it best to do a bit of digging, so I first checked it on BT but, to my surprise, nothing came up. After perusing some of the comments here, I’m quite relieved we weren’t around when these folks decided to ring. Makes you wonder why they’d be trying to contact us on our mobile in the first place, doesn’t it?

I decided to return a missed call from this number. I got a voicemail stating it was from ORC International Market Research. They provided the number 0500396999 to verify their legitimacy. After giving that number a ring, an operator informed me that she would look into their records and confirmed that the organisation is indeed a bona fide market research company.
