7 yearsI got a call from some sort of bot with a really bad connection, so it was hard to catch everything it said. I think it mentioned something about charging me £199.95 and then told me to "press 1 for..." but I couldn’t hear the rest properly because the line kept breaking up. I didn’t press any buttons and the call just ended suddenly. I have no clue what it was meant to be and I didn’t bother calling back. I don’t owe any money as far as I know, so I’m pretty sure this was just a scam.7 yearsGot a call from this number saying "you’ll be charged £199.99 on your amazon account unless you hit one to cancel it." Thing is, I don’t even have an amazon account! Total scam attempt. Hopefully they try somewhere else next time. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of pressing one - you could get hit with a huge phone bill, sometimes over £30 if you keep them on the line too long.
