Got a call at 8:13am on 26/06/17 from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from BT Accounts and that I was due a refund on my last bill. Told her she should find a job where people actually tell the truth. She kept insisting she was being honest, then just hung up on me. The number was 02063551198. Got a call off someone saying they were from BT Accounts, trying to offer 3 months of free calls and all that. Since she said she worked in accounts, I asked her the date my bill was due. She couldn’t answer and then asked me why I wasn’t interested in hearing her out, before just hanging up. No shock there, that’s just your typical scam call.

After getting constant calls from this number for weeks, my missus flat out refused to pick up the foreign-sounding lady on the line. Soon after, I got a call from the same number and was told I had to visit the police station! The woman repeated herself a couple of times but never mentioned which station it was meant to be. Got a call from someone claiming to be from 'BT'. They started by confirming a postcode for me, but it was one digit off. When they asked which bank I used, I just made one up. They insisted it was right, saying they had my direct debit info linked to that bank. After a bunch of nonsense, they tried to get my credit card number - that's when I told them to jog on.
