I had a chap named Stephen ring me up, asserting he was from "UK Handset" and promised to help me block nuisance calls. I pointed out that he was the nuisance himself, and just like that, he cut the line.

A bloke named David, with an Asian accent, rang me up claiming he could put an end to all my nuisance and marketing calls. He had the cheek to call my landline and knew my name and address, which raised my suspicions instantly. When I pressed him on how he got hold of my details, he refused to divulge any information. I reminded him that I’m ex-directory and registered under the GPS act, but before I could get another word in, he just hung up! Seems like yet another dodgy scam to me!
