I'm not sure who rang me, but I've got a setting on my mobile that lets me block annoying numbers for good - and I've used it. We used to get loads of nuisance calls, a lot from overseas, and got so irked we ended up buying a phone with BT Call Guardian, which I'd definitely suggest. The software catches these calls before they reach you. Your call history will show you who tried calling, and you've got options like Allow once, Always allow, Delete or Block. Once you’ve blocked a number, it won’t bother you again. Since then, our phone's been a lot quieter.

I’ve said they’re really messing up my day and interrupting my business, but it seems they couldn’t care less. I rang BT about this number that’s been pestering me nonstop. They told me it’s a dodgy call coming from outside the UK, and apparently there’s nothing they can do because it’s originating from an overseas exchange. They said if I paid extra for caller ID - mind you, I already have a nuisance call blocker on my phone - then I could block it that way. I didn’t want to answer their personal questions, so I politely said no. Next thing I know, they started swearing at me, calling me a stupid woman, then just slammed the phone down! Really wish there was a way to block these annoying calls for good!

Got a call from an Indian bloke asking me to verify personal info. Didn't answer how he insulted me when I said no, bit too rude. It’s really scary for us older people who live on our own. I’ve blocked the number now but surely the authorities can do more to stop this kind of harassment?

I requested that my number be removed from their records, but was met with a rather abrasive refusal. They bluntly told me "no" and promptly disconnected the call.

I got called three times in just one afternoon and told them to remove my number from their list. I did a 1471 to check the number, then rang back only to get an automated message saying ‘you’ve dialled the wrong number’. Absolutely shocking! I’m on the TPS, but clearly it’s not doing its job properly.

Got a call from this number asking me to take part in some survey. I told them right away I don’t share personal info with strangers on the phone. They started getting rude, so I just ended the call. After that, they kept ringing me like 4 or 5 times, getting really nasty and threatening, even saying they’d keep calling every single minute all day unless I answered. It was proper annoying and a bit scary.

Got a call from Eric at Perfect Benefits, and when I told him to take my number off, he said I needed to pay £20. Call was around 11.30 on 08-09. Quite annoying!

This number keeps ringing me non-stop. Last time it was a guy with an Indian or Pak*stan accent. When I stayed mute, he threatened to call me 20 times every day till I answered. I told him it was rude and he actually laughed and dropped some filthy language. How on earth are these people not stopped from doing stuff like this?

Picked up the phone and was met with some proper rude language straight away.

Picked up my home phone and some bloke was really rude straight away. He got all aggressive and when I called him out on it, he just cut me off. Looked up the number on Google and from the reviews, I rang it back myself. Got a message saying "Sorry, the number you have dialled isn’t in service." Didn’t shock me one bit!

I get loads of calls every day so I never pick up. Instead, I check 1471 to find out who rang me and only call back if it’s someone I recognise. So annoying all these pesky calls! Wish there was more support for stopping them.

I got a call from this number today and told them I was sick of getting calls from that awful company and asked them to stop ringing me. Then some bloke named "Eric" started saying they aren't an awful company and even threatened to shoot me. How on earth are these people allowed to keep calling? It's ridiculous.

Got loads of calls from this number. Every time I picked up and asked who it was, they just hung up on me. Tried ringing back but no luck finding out who it is. Honestly, why isn’t the TPS doing more to block these numbers? Feels like they hardly do anything about it.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent (and I’m definitely not as rude as he was). He asked if the info he had for me was right. I asked him twice what the call was about. Then he told me to ‘f### off’ and ended the call. I’m flagging this number as risky since he already knows where I live.
