Got a call again from someone trying to scam me.

This number rang me earlier. I couldn't get to speak to anyone as the answerphone picked up straight away and didn’t leave a message. When I tried to ring back to ask them to stop calling, it just said the number wasn’t recognised. Bit annoying really.

Heaps of noise in the backround, like a busy office or something. Then this guy with an Asian accent pops up saying I had a crash in my car within the past couple years, like trying to reel me in for some accident scam. Total scammy vibes.

I got a call from some accident firm on my new phone number, which I only switched on like four days ago. The guy said they had my info in their system. When I asked where he found my number and who he was after, he just cut me off and ended the call.

I’ve had this number ring me loads of times. When I asked who they were or said I wasn't interested, they got really rude and then just cut the call! Earlier today, a bloke called Adam with a pretty strong Asian accent called, went through the usual spiel. I told him to remove me from their list, and sure enough, they just hung up on me again!

Got a call today from a number I didn’t know, but as soon as I said something, they went totally silent. And this is even though I’m registered on the Telephone Preference Service! Frustrating.

Bloke’s been ringing a fair bit today, hasn’t he. Thing is, he’s totally clueless about how London numbers go - they’re only from the 020-7xxx-yyyy, 020-8xxx-yyyy and 020-3xxx-yyyy ranges at the moment. The 020-5 prefix isn’t active yet. Spotting that on my phone, I just let it ring out and gave it the block straight after. - caller: Unknown

Got a call around 11.09 this morning but there was nothing but silence when I answered.

This number kept ringing me earlier today, but I didn’t pick up. I let it go to voicemail, but after a moment of silence, the call just dropped. Then it buzzed twice more within a few minutes, and twice again shortly after. About half a year ago, I actually answered once on my landline and once on my mobile. Both times, the caller was asking if someone had crashed into the back of my car. I told them I don’t even drive, so then they asked if I’d been involved as a passenger in any accidents, which I hadn’t. They probed a bit more, but I denied whatever it was, and then they just hung up. Seemed like those typical accident claim people.

Today this number popped up twice on my missed calls. I switched my home phone recently because of all the annoying cold calls. Honestly, I barely ever pick up the landline, it’s mainly just for internet - who even uses home phones now? Not sure where they got my number from, could just be one of those random dial outs. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of silent ringing from unknown numbers as well...

Got a phone call about some car crash I was never involved in - total con!

Got a call from a guy, sounded Asian, maybe Pakistani? He asked if someone had crashed into my car anytime in the past two years. There was a bunch of noise in the background like a busy call centre recording or something. I said no and he just hung up on me. Probably a scam or spam, not sure.
