Received a rather mechanical-sounding call today, purporting to be from Amazon. It said that a charge of £79 would be deducted from my bank account for Amazon Prime. The thing is, I’m already a member and pay £7.99 monthly, making it quite clear this is a scam. Also, they somehow got hold of my landline, which isn’t linked to my account.

I've since blocked the number.
