5 hoursGot a call out of the blue from a bloke with an English accent, claiming he was ringing about some housing problems I’d supposedly reported. When I asked what problems exactly, he mentioned damp and mould and said he was with some compliance group that councils apparently work with. Didn’t sound right to me, so I just ended the call. Asked him if this was just a spam call and he insisted it wasn’t, claiming he was responsible for repairs on my property. Told him to never call me again. I usually just block the number straight away and any close variants, since the scammers often just change one or two digits in the number.
