Someone rang me claiming to be from BT Business, warning that my line would be disconnected soon, all the usual scare tactics. Funny thing is, when I looked up the number online, the earliest mention was actually yesterday on this very site saying it was genuine (bit suspicious?), but then another entry today called it out as dodgy just like I suspected. They went on about how rubbish the local BT Business team is, which sounds off - why would a real BT rep trash their own colleagues? Once I started questioning the call and doubting its authenticity, the guy got pretty annoyed. He wouldn’t even provide an email to confirm he was legit. Left me feeling it was a scam for sure.

This isn’t a BT number at all, it actually comes from Gamma Telecoms based in London. They claimed they wanted to send someone out because my line is supposedly 'old' and requires changing. But when I rang my actual phone company, they looked into it and said everything’s fine with my line.
