Without a doubt, a dodgy call. Some woman rang me claiming to be from EE, telling me my SIM would be switched off in five days and a replacement would be sent out. I asked her why EE would be doing that, and she just said it was due to an update. It all sounded fishy to me, so I told her I thought it was a scam. She said she’d connect me to her manager, but I ended the call straight away - she couldn’t give me a proper answer at all!

Got another call from them just ten mins after the first one. Told them straight up that it was the second call today and I didn’t think they were truly from O2, so I was going to hang up. The person just ended the call. If it was really O2, they’d probably try to convince me with some proof instead of just going quiet.

I've had loads of calls back to back from this number and others close to it. My phone flags them as scam calls so I just don't pick up. They never bother to leave a voicemail or anything either!

I got a phone call that seemed like a legit EE scam. I decided to humour them to find out their trick. Surprisingly, they sent a message from what looked like EE's real text service, then wanted me to say out loud the code from that message. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from someone saying my old 3 SIM card is no longer going to work and they offered to send a new one. I told them I’d pop into my nearest 3 shop to sort it out instead, then ended the call. Watch out, folks, don’t just trust these calls!

Got a call from a London number I didn't recognise. They left a message, but when I listened, it was just like random mumbling with a TV noise in the background. When I tried ringing them back, all I got was silence, then this weird, piercing high-pitched sound blasted through. Very odd experience.

I saw the number but decided not to pick up since I didn’t know it. After reading everyone else’s comments, I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of scam.

Definitely a scam, I got a call saying my 3 SIM card was outdated and they needed some details to send me a replacement. Like others mentioned, they wanted me to spell out my email. They rang me three times in a row, so I’ve blocked the number now. Don’t share any info if they ring you - just block straight away.

I got a call from this guy who kept insisting he was from EE, and when I challenged him, he started twisting his story. Initially, he claimed there was a 30% discount for EE customers, but once I told him I don’t even have EE, he switched it up saying it’s only for new customers. Don’t fall for it, even if they say they can pass you on to someone at EE to prove it. That’s what he tried to convince me with, but it was all just nonsense.

Had a missed call earlier from 02046255304, and my phone flagged it as maybe spam. I rang it back, but the line was full of crackles and weird noises, like something from an old-school switchboard. Didn’t wait for it to properly answer, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. I’m pretty sure more calls like this will keep coming, sadly.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying my EE SIM was getting an update for security reasons and that my phone wouldn’t work after tomorrow until I received a new SIM, which I could schedule. He asked me to confirm how I spell my email address. Since I have multiple emails, I asked which one he meant, but he just repeated he needed me to spell it out. I hung up. Then he rang right back asking why I ended the call. I told him I wasn’t interested and put the phone down. He called straight back again, so I told him to stop bothering me and cut him off for good.

Got a call from O2 saying it was just to inform me about moving their service onto a new system and to see if I had any problems. I told them everything was fine, but then they put me through to a manager who ended up trying to pitch some skibidi toilet deal to me. Such a strange sales tactic.

This number has been ringing me loads this week, and I reckon it’s a scammer. Every time I block one, they come back from a slightly different but similar number. I’ve had the same hassle years ago when I switched phones. I’m pretty careful with who I give my number to - only mates, family and work have it. If you get calls from this or similar numbers, my advice is to just block them straight away and ignore the calls if you don’t know who it is. They also tend to leave odd voicemails with strange background noises and weird chatter.

I didn’t pick up since it seemed like a scam, but I don’t get why people are saying the caller was Indian. It feels a bit unfair to jump to conclusions and stereotype someone’s background just based on how they sound. There’s really no need for that sort of racial comment.

This guy with an Indian accent claimed he was calling from 3 Mobile. I told him, nah, you’re not. He kept insisting, “Yes, I am.” I just said again, “Nope, you’re not!” When he asked why I doubted him, I said it’s clear you’re a scammer pretending to be from 3. Then he just hung up on me.
