Someone rang me and asked straight for me by name, but when I wanted to know who was calling, they just ended the call. I tried ringing them again and it turned out to be some insurance firm I’ve never dealt with before. Honestly, I have no clue how they got my number.

Got a call earlier today about a warranty for a washing machine. Told them I don’t even own one, and they just cut off straight away. Pretty sure it was a dodgy scam.

I picked up and said hello a few times but no one replied. I could just about make out people chatting in the background, so it’s clearly some kind of call centre. Strange that they didn’t say anything back though.
