They attempted to con my folks into handing over their bank info and things like that. Same kind of tale others mentioned about Sky saying their contract was up and Virgin needing to step in. My parents gave them a different number to ring back, but they kept nagging, saying the cost would go up if they didn’t sort it out immediately. They had a bunch of personal info and sounded pretty believable for a while.

I got a call from someone saying I owed money to Sky and if I didn't pay, my service would be cut off. I played along for a bit just to see where it was going. The bloke kept insisting I pay up, but then I told him I don’t even have Sky. After that, he just hung up. Definitely a scam.
