Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, telling me that our line would be disconnected by year’s end because they’re switching from analogue to fibre. They said we should already have fibre to the premises, which I know isn’t true since it’s only fibre to the cabinet here. The guy sounded really convincing, but I told him I’d check with my actual provider before doing anything. He even gave me his name and number for a callback. Pretty smart move, but definitely felt like a scam to me.
