Phone number ☎️ 02046210313 👆 is reported as a likely scam or dubious sales call claiming to be from BT, asking confusing questions about phone lines and equipment that genuine BT staff wouldn’t need to ask. Callers appear unprepared, failing to provide proper verification or account details, and sometimes hang up when challenged. Some users feel it’s not BT but linked to a sales company trying to switch providers. However, one mention of a polite caller from BT does exist, indicating not all calls from this number are suspicious. Overall, it’s best to be cautious as the calls seem aimed at gathering info or pushing sales rather than offering genuine support.

6 daysYet another call from a helpful person (Ben this time) claiming to be from BT and wanting to know if we are still on a copper line. I told him I get several phones calls a month from people pretending to be from BT and I didn't believe him. Already made the mistake of believing the first one and nearly got scammed by a disreputable telecoms company with a bad reputation for bullying, out of £1000's. Any calls like this either put the phone down or tell them where to go.BenBTAlready23 daysAbsolute scam, or at the very best it's a moron. They say they are from BT and need to know if our line is copper or fibre. When I said that "if you're BT then you should know", he said his records were sometimes out of date or incorrect. He said my lines could be disconnected by accident if I don't tell him if it's fibre or copper. I asked him to confirm the BT account number and he said he didn't have it. He then persisted by asking what manufacture of phone I had and that would tell him whether it was a plain old telephone system or VOIP. I told him that the type of phone has NOTHING to do with it as BT install VOIP adapters for folk to use standard phones on VOIP, so how would that help him? He had no answer to that, breathed a massive sigh and then hung up. Absolutely a scam/sales call, definitely not BT (unless BT have gone even more to the dogs).BT2 monthsHad a really nice bloke from BT give me a hand.BT2 monthsJust got a ring from some bloke called Ben, claimed he was ringing from the BT "Head Office" checking if our phone lines were working alright. He didn’t seem to have a clue about any specifics they’d normally have. The number traces back to Colt Technology Services, so I reckon it's a sales pitch, possibly to persuade us to switch providers.BenBT " Head Office "Colt Technology ServicesSubmit Your Own Report (020 4621 0313)
