5 monthsLook, no offence to anyone from India, but a lot of calls come with that accent these days. This bloke kept saying his names were James or Bernard, which sounded dodgy straight away. I had a feeling it was a scam, so I played along for a laugh. Told him my address was 11 Downing Street to see how he'd react. He got busy typing something and said he’d send a phone over. When I said if I wasn’t in, to leave it at number 10 Downing Street next door (my “neighbour”), he got a bit quiet. Proper funny.IndiaJamesBernardDowning Street7 monthsThe call came through but my phone’s spam blocker jumped on it immediately. Seeing what others have said, gotta say, my spam filter did a good job there!8 monthsSomeone called claiming to be from Sky, saying they were joining with Virgin Media. I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. They called right back and asked why I’d hung up, sounding annoyed. I said I didn’t recognise them, and they kept insisting they were from Sky. Then they warned me my SIM would get blocked, so I cut the call again. Quite clearly a scam.SkyVirgin Media8 monthsSo, this bloke told me Sky Mobile and Virgin Media have joined forces (which they haven’t) and that my sim will be cut off but they’ll post out a new one with 5G included! The connection was rubbish, and when asked twice for the account owner’s name, he couldn’t say it. Totally sounds like a scam to me!Sky MobileVirgin Media8 monthsSome bloke said he was from EE, saying my sim was about to be cancelled and they needed to send a replacement. He asked for my name, I told him he called me so he should already know it. Then he tried pushing for my email but I refused to give any details. After that, he started telling me to **** off quite a few times, sounded well angry. Had an Indian or Pakistani accent. Pretty clear it was a scam.EE9 monthsClaimed to be calling from Sky Mobile. I told them I knew it was a scam and he just snapped back with You’re a mother f……g ####.Sky Mobile9 monthsThey claimed to be from Sky?
