Got a call from someone saying they're from O2. They told me they need to send a new SIM through DPD and asked for my address to deliver it. Bit sus if you ask me.

Got a call from an 02/Virgin number, but seemed like a scam. They said they'd post out a new SIM, but I never got anything. Didn't really understand what they wanted from me.

Seriously, steer clear of this number. I tried to figure out who they were while talking, and it was obviously a scam. Just don’t answer or get involved!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 saying they’d send me a new sim card. Definitely a con, best to just ignore it and not pick up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2 or Virgin Media, telling me my SIM card was expired. She said I'd lose service unless I renewed it through her. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from a woman saying my SIM card had to be updated, then she told me she'd connect me to someone else to help me sort it out. I asked why they couldn’t just send a new SIM in the post if it needed changing, as I’m perfectly capable of swapping it myself. She didn’t answer and quickly handed me over to a chap. When I asked the same question again, he immediately wanted my account info, which made me suspicious, so I just hung up.

I had a very similar call to what others have described. The person on the line came across as quite professional and willingly shared his name, employee ID, and even a number to ring back on.

I got a call from 07966603736, someone claiming my O2 SIM was expired and a new one was being sent. Much like what others have mentioned here. They gave a contact number for problems and said their name was Robin Smyth. The person on the phone sounded like they were from South Asia. I just gave a fake email, and they said they’d sent a link to check my ID or something.

Really risky, they managed to hack into my O2 account and totally scammed me! Definitely don’t pick up if you get a call from them, it's a trap.

SCAM ALERT! Got a call from someone claiming to be Silas Brown from O2. He said they were sending me a new SIM and needed to go over activation details. Pretty obvious it was a scam though as I haven’t had O2 for ages. I ended up keeping him on the line for about 12 minutes, and he told me he’ll ring back later. I’m looking forward to wasting even more of his time next round.

Got a call today from Robin Smith, sounded like he had a strong Asian accent. He said he was ringing from 02 and my SIM card was going to expire soon! I spent about 10 minutes chatting with him, asking why he couldn’t just send me an email instead... Eventually, I ran out of reasons to keep him talking and had to let it go.

Got a call yesterday from someone claiming to be with O2. They said their names were James Smith and Jeff Marcello. Tried to scam me by asking for my Virgin account info and wanted to order an iPhone on my account. They sounded very convincing but 100% fraudsters. Watch out, total scammers.
