Someone called me saying they worked for lycamobile and were giving a 45% discount. sounded a bit dodgy to me.

They keep ringing me more than 20 times daily about my 02 SIM, which I’ve already blocked, but now they’re just using a different phone number to keep at it.

My elderly mum got hassled loads by these lot, and sadly they managed to trick her into giving details for her 02 account. After that, they went ahead and bought two iPhones using her account. Luckily, we sorted it out in the end, but it’s so frustrating how they prey on folks who are easy targets. These nasty scammers deserve to be put behind bars.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from O2 or Virgin Media. He told me there was some technical problem and my SIM would stop working in four days. He wanted me to verify my email so he could send a replacement SIM the next day, which was a Sunday. I didn't fall for it and refused to share any details. Definitely felt like a scam, so I ended the call and blocked the number. Watch out, everyone!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin or O2 about my SIM needing to be replaced. When I asked for more info, they just wanted my email, which seemed fishy. I ended the call and then contacted O2’s fraud team straight away.

Kept ringing me up, saying they were from Sky. Told them several times I’m not with Sky and asked them to stop calling. They said they’d take my number off their list because I’m "not with them," but I wasn’t convinced. Checked my sim afterwards and it’s still working perfectly, so no doubt it’s some sort of scam.

I picked up the phone but there was no one talking, only noises like a busy call centre in the background. They’ve called me a couple of times within the last fortnight.
