Caller claimed they were from EDF. When I asked why EE marked their number as spam, they said it was a fresh number, which didn’t sound right to me. I told them to ring me again but only if it was from a number I knew.EECallerEDFPhilippines2 monthsI checked their website and it’s definitely EDF.2 monthsI got a call from +442046019795 and when I tried ringing back, it just played music. Big thanks to Who-Called for letting me verify this ✔️ ✅️ 🙂 ☺️2 monthsJust a heads up, there’s another dodgy caller going around.2 months09:25 So basically, this guy called claiming to be from EDF, said his name was Chito and apparently he was from my energy supplier. He definitely knew my name and said he was following up about a meter reading - which might be right since I haven’t submitted one in ages. He asked if I was close to my meter, but I said “hang on” so I could check if I had an email or bill recently, which I did from yesterday. After that, he suddenly got more pushy, offering me an alternative: to set up an online account. I’ve had one for years, but he said he’d email me a link where I could just click and set a password. I stayed quiet, and he kept asking if I was by the meter, interested in having an online account and all that. Eventually I told him I don’t respond to random callers and he said goodbye but then stayed silent on the phone for like a minute before hanging up.EDFChito2 monthsGot a call from an energy provider, but the person had a really thick Asian accent, which made it a bit hard to catch everything they said.2 monthsGot a call saying it was from the electricity company, asking for a meter reading. They said I should take the number from the bills or the letters they sent. Bit odd, but that's what they told me.2 monthsSomeone rang me asking about a meter reading, but I had to ask which company it was first. They said EDF. I explained I’d sorted it online already. They weren’t very chatty, didn’t share much info. Seems alright enough since I’ve been getting emails about readings, but I generally avoid answering calls I’m not expecting. I definitely wasn’t about to give out any personal info over the phone.EDF2 monthsGot a call from an unknown number, no message left or clue who it was. Definitely one of those auto dialer things.2 monthsGot a call just as I was having tea, but they didn't say anything or leave a message. No clue who ringed me.2 monthsDidn’t leave me any message. I’ve seen some say it’s EDF calling but I'm not even a customer of theirs, so it's weird why they’re ringing me.EDF2 monthsGot a call but didn’t pick up, and no voicemail was left.
