They said they were checking if I could get Government grants to improve my loft insulation and wanted to arrange a "free" survey. It’s a total con, there’s no such grant at all. The “surveyor” will say your insulation is rubbish and push spray foam insulation that can actually lower your house value and might even stop you selling it later on.
