He called me saying something about replacing my boiler, which confused me as I don’t even own one. The line went dead after I told him that.

Beware of those calls offering free boiler checks - it's a total scam!

I’m an 80-year-old pensioner and got a call this morning while I was on the bus heading out shopping. Didn’t recognise the number so I ended the call straight away. My son’s a copper and had warned me to look up any unknown numbers online, and if the same one rings again, just hang up immediately. Really grateful this site exists for people like me to find help. Cheers from a thankful pensioner.

I noticed some numbers that seemed like debt help lines too, all finishing with 2389, 2324, 2377, 2462, 2303, and 2461. They appeared to have contacts in both Scotland and Wales as well.

I've had the same experience, these numbers keep ringing me non-stop, about eight calls now, always using the same start but switching the last three digits. Definitely feels like another dodgy scam going around, so watch out!

Got a call from someone named Harry claiming to be from "Free Boiler UK." The guy just kept going on with the usual nonsense about free boilers, which I guess is one of those typical scam calls they keep trying on me.
